The superior king studio offers an exceptionally comfortable bed, a mini bar fridge, a microwave oven, air conditioning, and a clean private bathroom.

It's exactly what we were looking for.

We were in a hurry, so stayed here only for 7 nights, but everything was very good. It was in the central location close to the beach.

Here my experience with Ace backpackers hostel: The staff was really nice, I am sending hugs to all of them! Further, the hostel has everything you expect from something of this price category.. There is a kitchen which has a stove, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dryer...except of the last two things you can use all of this for free, you just have to clean up what you made dirty...logically. The hostel has got air conditioning in all of the rooms which is quite comfortable especially in the hot summer months!! The air conditioners are very modern and so dont give any sound from them (im telling this because I already made a bad experience with an old and very loud air conditioner in another HOTEL in Rio). Good to mention is also that you feel yourself very safe in the hostel..from outside there is no big advertise on the door and besides a small sticker (with the name of the hostel written on it) you find nothing that makes you think that this is a hostel full of strangers. When you enter the first door you climb some stairs and find another heavy door made of iron bars which is opened just when someone wants to enter or leave the hostel...and as they are having 2 cameras installed in the entance door they can also see for whom they are opening the door. Botafogo is not considered to be dangerous, not at all actually..but it just makes you feel even more comfortable knowing that your hostel is well "prepared". Finally, as you maybe can imagine already, the hostel is situated in a very good spot of Rio. Some meters from the beach of Bofafogo, Botafogo shopping, underground station (only two stations to Copacabana), various restaurants, bars, markets, a supermarket and a perfect view on the crist statue (on corcovado) to the one side and on the sugar loaf mountain to the other side. Bus stop to all directions (inclusively to the central bus terminal with direct connections to the international airport) you will find as well a few meters away from the hostel.

Great spot if you're planning to catch a game at the stadium or enjoy some drinks at nearby bars 🏟️.

Besides the great location and cleanliness of the rooms, the reason why I would come back to Ace Backpackers hotel is the friendliness of the staff and each one of the staff (including the owner) go out of their way to make your stay extra special. They had a wealth of information on places to go, travel tips always given with an eagerness to help. I have been traveling for about a year and this hotel is one of the few places that I felt was my second home and has added a great deal of value to my stay in Rio.

The room here was quite spacious, affordable, had a private bathroom, and offered a nice breakfast, while the facilities were in good condition.

Our stay at Ace Backpackers Hostel was thouroughly enjoyable and a place I would strongly recommend to other travellers. We arrived earlier than check in time to the hostel, at about 4am and the hostel was kind enough to find the two of us beds to sleep in for a couple of hours whilst they prepared our room, free of charge. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and were happy to help anytime whether it be giving directions, booking transport or tours. We stayed in a private room, which was immaculate, with quiet airconditioning and our own bathroom. The hostel has a great atmosphere, allowing you to meet plenty of other travellers from around the world and share a drink in the hostels bar. The hostel itself is in a great location, close to everything in Rio. Its a 100 metre walk to the metro and in a clean and safe suburb. There are restaurants and bars close by aswell as a supermarket. Overall our stay at Ace was beyond expectation and we highly recommend it.

Evetything was great, Spacious room, confortable bed, AC, frigobar and plasma tv in the room just like a 5 STAR HOSTEL.... Also great location!!!

The central location near the metro is a big plus, with friendly staff and affordable, clean rooms with air conditioning.
